MIC5504-3.3YM5 output voltage out of spec

Hi everyone, I'm using an MIC5504-3.3YM5 to generate a 3.3V regulated output from a 5.5V supply. However when measuring its output, the IC is generating an output of 4.4V. Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I have already replaced the IC to rule out any IC faults.

    What’s the load current? Datasheet specs load regulation down to 100uA. Below that all bets are off

    Oh well - there's always next year

    The LDO is driving a microcontroller and the digital section two ADCs, with the load current being around the 2mA range.

    Is something hot on a board? Or all components are cold? What is total circuit consumption?
    Are you sure the voltage right across Vin and GND pins is 5.5V? to exclude wiring/tracing error?
    The last. Where did you get the chips?

    Board is operating at room temperature, with a total circuit consumption of 50mA. The 3.3V LDO is currently supplying 2mA, with peaks of up to 10mA when an LED is switched on by the MCU.
     
    Using a multimeter to measure directly across the Vin and GND pins, the input voltage is at 5.42V.
     
    The ICs were ordered from mouser.

    Can you post a close-up photo of the IC and the IC on the board. Many times (three at least) I heard about counterfeit "Microchip" voltage regulators...
