How to use avr8 GNU toolchain in MPLAB X IDE Ubuntu

Hi, I had developed some projects/libraries for AVR in Atmel Studio 7 on MS Windows. But now I moved to MPLAB X on Ubuntu. How to install avr8-gnu-toolchain available here https://www.microchip.com/mplab/avr-support/avr-and-arm-toolchains-c-compilers to use it with MPLAB X. I had read release notes but it doesn't have that info.

Thank you.

    just did this.

    1. Download build tools
    2. Extracted to desired location: i.e. /opt/microchip
    3. in MPLAB: tools->options->Embedded->Build Tools
         i.  Toolchain: [Add..]
         ii. select directory of binaries, i.e /opt/microchip/avr.../bin
