changing gradient scheme issue

Hello

I have a screen running well, I want to change the color of a gradient on the fly.
when I change the scheme by a button

//change color scheme of gradient
if(laWidget_GetScheme((laWidget*)GradientWidget2) == &Gradient_Unit_On)
{
laWidget_SetScheme((laWidget*)GradientWidget2, &Gradient_Unit_Off);
}
else
{
laWidget_SetScheme((laWidget*)GradientWidget2, &Gradient_Unit_On);
}

with the new color scheme I get a mutant of the default and the new scheme in weird bands
when i got back to original it looks fine

any Hints?

Thanks,

    seems to be an issue with layers
    single layered my screens and made everything a child of gradient
    this resolved issue

    had this issue re-surface.
    and this time I eliminated layer issues

    actual issue was a bad solder joint, weird that it manifested this way, but that is touching up solder joints on one corner of micro resolved issue
