If your computer has a built-in Bluetooth adapter, you can use that to connect to your RN-42. Any host device can interface with the module through a simple UART interface. You can send the UART commands for the GPIO using any terminal software of your choice like Teraterm.

What do you want to program exactly in your Bluetooth adapter? It's just a communication device (even though it has some GPIO). You can program a PIC to control it via USART.

I want to make home automation like in PIC IC, "if 'a' is detected then set this pin to high"
so can I do this in RN-42 without PIC IC just as in ESP32?
