RN4871 Embedded scripting issue

Hello,

I can get my RN4871 module into command mode and send various different commands to it, which it accepts and replies to the ones i have tried.

When i input 'ww' to enter script input mode, i input a test script and then try and exit with typing 'ESC'. I cannot get the module to reply after exiting the script mode.

|O,18,18

I power cycle the unit, which is when it responds to commands again. When sending the 'LW' command to display any stored scripted, nothing is shown.

Is there something i am doing wrong?

i have been through the manual a couple of times and tried a couple of difference examples to no avail.

Thanks,

I have managed to solve it, through trail and error.

I was using ardunio serial monitor which was blocking the 'ESC' key from being sent over the UART. I switched tera term and worked fine. pressing 'ESC' does not need the /cr at the end either (cartridge return) like the '$$$' command. You should get 'CMD> AOK' received back after pressing 'ESC' key

some examples give 'ESC' to be typed  but that does not work, you need to press the 'ESC' key

It's good idea not to use Arduino ;) you've already found at least one reason why
