Does the MCP2200 work on Android?

My customer would like to use the Android operating system.  Does the MCP2200 work on Android?

No it doesnt because once it finds any Android device around it destroys itself.

It might, but it's definitely not officially supported.  You would more than likely need to write your own android application code to take a shot at getting it working.
 
There's drivers out there that implement a CDC USB-Serial driver for android, which would maybe let you get the USB->Serial interface working.
 
I believe configuring the device is done through a HID class device, so you would probably need to get familiar with USB hosting on android to write some code to configure GPIOs and the like.

Does anyone experience problems with the BM78 Bluetooth module failing to pair with Android 9 on Samsung Galaxy tablets?  All previous versions up to 9 work. The issue only comes up when SSP is set to Security Mode 3(PIN) and set to ios/Android dual.  If the SSP is set to disabled it works fine. Any insight to this would be helpful. As it stands I have to do a recall from a customer.
