How do I set the start folder that starts every time I add existing object to project?

Hello,

Every time I want to add an existing file to my new project (Right click - add existing), it starts in the .X folder somewher and I have to click a number of time out of there and into the .src folder I have.

How do I set the folder to not start in the .X folder every time?

Regards
X

I don't know if there is a way to change this behavior. If I am creating a new project, I usually use "Add Existing Items from Folders..." and it seems to remember the last folder location.

Right click on top of the folder where you want add the file(the desired folder would be highlighted), then choose add existing item if its a file that needs to be added. In case it's a folder choose add existing items from folder. Doing that would add the file in the desired folder.

That is not exactly what I am asking as such.

What you write is correct but that very first folder location that pops up when you add existing file / item...
How do I set where that starts? Mine starts way off in a far out different folder every time and I need to click through heaps of folders to get to the file I want to add. That happens every single time I want to add a file.

Is it totally out of the folder where your project is(like a completely different folder where your project doesn't actually exist)?
Or does it start from the folder where the last files were added?

It ALWAYS starts in the same folder. Not the one I last used. that is the whole problem.

The folder is in the .X project folder somewhere.   I do not have it open as I type here so I can't tell the exact folder.
