WINC1500 AP and STA (TCP Server) Modes Concurrently

I am using A WINC1500-Xpro and SAM4S Xplained Pro board. I would like to be able to appear as an AP while also acting as a TCP Server. I looked at the "WINC1500 Mode Change" example code, which says it is in STA mode before switching to AP mode, but I don't see that happening in the code or when running the code. Is there some code around that would get me to where I need to be without a lot of T&E?

Also, is there a maximum number of support cases allowed? I had two tickets and now can't make another!

You can only be in either the AP mode or the STA mode, but not both. If you run a TCP server while the module is in the AP mode, then the server's IP address is whatever you want it to be. In the STA mode, however, the IP address is typically assigned by a DHCP server. The most common use of the AP mode is really just to perform WiFi provisioning.

Thank you for the quick reply. My goal is to provide a TCP server over an SSI that I assign (ergo the AP mode). I would also set a static IP address. The end product is one that provides data to a cell phone WiFi application. This is similar to the WiFi enabled devices used for automotive OBD diagnostics. The SAM4 device needs to use the WINC1500 as an AP to connect the SSI and WEP/WPK/WAP or even be open. It also needs to be a TCP server with a static IP address. I am trying to understand the example codes to achieve this, but it is so confusing that I'm afraid I'm doomed to long hours of T&E.
