Harmony 3 support for PIC32MX ?

I note that the PIC32MX is not supported in the current download of Harmony 3, only PIC32MZ and MK.

Will the PIC32MX be added?
Or is PIC32MX recommended to use 2.06 for Harmony framework, rather than Harmony 3?

Is the current Harmony 2.06 the last planned release for Harmony 2?

I am trying to do some migration planning for some older products using PIC32MX.

I have done a couple of projects using pic32mx and harmony with no problems.
    I use USB and A2D.

We should not chase the latest IDE version for every project.

For instance, I am testing a new project on PIC32MZEF which requires no graphics.  I find that Harmony 2.06 works better.  Harmony 3 is too complicated though.

    Thanks, Jim.
I think I know what "Yes" means.
A blank box, I guess, is the absence of "Yes"
That implies "No", but could mean "not at this time, coming soon" or could mean "no, not ever", or probably means "end of support for the PIC32MX."

I am just trying to plan the firmware migration path for some existing shipping products that use the PIC32MX, that need some serious bug-fixing and feature addition.

    Graham,
My best guess is they are concentrating on adding support for devices not in 2.06 and these new devices require different underlying infrastructure.
As the Mx devices are already supported in 2.06 and 3. is still in beta I would guess the blanks indicate they will be supported.
I am not a Microchip employee and have no inside information, just my guess.

I want to address the concern generally.
Yes, we have plans to release PIC32MX support in Harmony 3.  You are all correct that we do not have this in there yet.  The plan was first to address much of the Cortex family, then add classic MCHP (MIPS based) devices as we move forward.  We are in this second phase now.
PIC32MX is a larger tent, with a number of device families.  So we are starting with several that should be done within this quarter, but others will follow later.
With multiple repositories please also be aware that we generally focus on CSP and Core functions first, and in some cases middleware will follow on later.
Lastly, we are also planning another Harmony v2.xx (v2.07 is next) support round in the second half of the year.  So if you are on Harmony 2 and it is working for you for a given family, it will continue to have some support.

    Mike,
Thank you for clearing that up.
It is always nice to know the roadmap.

When Harmony 3 will support File
    Systems microSDs and sd_msd_multi_fs ?

    Thanks

    Mike:
    Thanks for the clarification.
That helps me understand where Microchip is headed.

Please use a new thread to change the topic.  You will get more attention that way.

Currently we are only porting existing structures primarily from Harmony 2, but others may include content from ASF or other Cortex libraries / sources.  This includes the file system.

Over time of course things can change, but FS updates are not a major feature request.  We do not plan on file system updates in the near future.

You can always put in a support ticket to request these items, or communicate in the 'issues' section of GitHub.  We are interested in customer feedback like this.
