SMS reception and display in PIC via assembly

I have a setup where it is desired to receive SMS  from a SIM900A module and dispay in  20x4  display. I have a few questions

1. How do i manage displaying data in the order line 1-4 if  the characters are sent to the lcd from RCREG
GetSMS btfss PIR1,RCIF ; character available?
      goto GetSMS
      banksel RCSTA
btfsc RCSTA, OERR ; test for overrun error
      call errOERR
btfsc RCSTA, FERR ; test for frame error
      call errFERR

      movf RCREG,W ; get character
     movf PORTC
      call Enable

2. what AT COMMANDS are needed to trigger the gsm module to send the newly  sms to the pic without looping the AT COMMAND  AT+CMGR=1
Main
 call _settle
call _requestSMS  ; checks the latest message
 call _settle
 btfsc STATUS, Z

 NOP
 NOP
 CALL DELAY

      goto Main

3 How do i isolate the sms body message from meta data such as time stamps and phone no

You place all the characters into a block of RAM you have set aside for this purpose, then you analyse the text to extract the message.

Maybe someone here will know the answer, but this is not a PIC question as such.
Do you have any documentation for the SIM900A module?
