Glasgow or Scotland UK, based MPLAB X developer / programmer wanted.

Hi there,

At the risk of repeating myself, it has been suggested that I post the following here.  I hope this is ok.

We are a Glasgow based electronics manufacturer. We specialise in designing and manufacturing measurement sensors, mainly for the music and entertainment industry.

We have several MPLAB projects / firmware that need to be revised, updated, written from scratch or or otherwise completed.  These are all related to various products and projects of ours.  Some are simple fixes, other are complete re-writes, others are simple moved from an earlier version MPLAB to X.

We are looking for a Glasgow or at least a Scotland based person who is looking for some casual, part time (or more) work.  We have a long list of things that need to be sorted.

Let me know if you are interested!

Thanks, Ben

PS. Hopefully this is the correct place to post this.  If not, please delete or advise where would be more suitable.

    Which families? PIC16/18/32, dsPIC???

What about the compiler versions? MPLAB to X could also imply, e.g., C18 to XC8.

Were old PLIBs or MLA or Harmony used to create the existing projects...

Will you want to stay with the obsolete C18 or upgrade to XC8? More work, obviously.

I have been a PIC consultant since 1985.
I have worked for myself since 2003.
One of my latest projects was a USB oscilloscope using PIC18F4550.
More recent projects have been using PIC32MX and PIC32MZ.
I was originally a hardware person but ended up 50/50 hardware and software.
I am not really in commuting distance of Glasgow (Carlisle) but would be happy to take on small definable projects.
