Snap. Failed to get Device ID

Hi,
I got my MPLab Snap today, I am using MPLAB V5.10 Windows 7 32 bits, need to program PIC32MX795F512L.
Got my project done; in project propierties, Snap has 2 yellow dots for programmer and debugger in Beta.
I can not read nor write, no matter what I do, I got this:

"Failed to get Device ID. Please make sure the target device is attached and try the operation again.
Connection Failed."

It is already connected to target, along with power, checked connections and seems ok to me.

I need to program a bootloader from Digilent, not sure if need to set address in project propierties, Snap, Preserve program memeory, it is red with "(!)-"

Kindly help me to get rid of this issue please!

When you can't get a deviceID, it typically means that there is a connection issue between the tool and the target.  Make sure you have the PGC/PGD, MCLR, Vdd, and GND connected.  Also make sure there is nothing else on the PGC/PGD lines or MCLR.  You will not be able to do anything until you get a correct deviceID.

    Hi,
found the problem, so I'm adding the solution here for those that have the same error and search through this forum:
It was not a connection issue, you must use a USB hub, and all you nightmares will be gone. Smile: Smile

This is just a guess, but is this a USB2 hub, and were you plugging into a USB3 port on your PC?

USB 2.0 hub and USB 2.0 port.
    I wonder why it works...
