RN4020 and using SmartData on Apple phone

Hoping someone can set me straight.

I have a RN4020 and I want to use my apple smartphone via SmartData to sent data back and forth via the UART which will communicate to my microcontroller. The app is not finding the module, the app reads 'Before connecting, enable MLDP data profile in RN4020 or use custom data service UUID.   Need help in writing the script to the RN4020 to establish comms link to the app and I'm hoping from there I can send/receive data back and forth.  Can someone write down the steps to do this???? I'm having a heck of time also if you could let me know the correct logic on CMD/MLDP, etc. IF this is not the correct approach to perform this function again please advise what is the best/correct method to get data from smartphone to module.  Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for answering.

I'm good - it was actually the app on my smartphone. Reloaded it and started working.
