    You realize the geo stationary means it follows the earth. That means from you point of view in India the satilite will never appear to move.

    Geostationary orbits are only possible over the equator, so it won't be "over" India, but could be visible above the horizon.

    I guess that is the Answer. The Angle is the triangle formed by India, the Equator and the 42,164 km distance to the satellite.

    Bit of a necro post, but some years ago I built a handheld satellite tracking and prediction device using a PIC18, it's documented here: http://www.g6lvb.com/articles/LVBTracker2/index.htm
     
    I'd imagine that today's PIC16s would be capable of doing this now, but back in 2005 PIC18 was the state of the art.
     
    It was somewhat eclipsed by the introduction of smartphones and app stores!
