PIC18F97J60 Ethernet Support

The datasheet states 1000Base-T in the Ethernet Feature section, but I only see two pairs, one TX, one RX, on the uController. I need to interface to a 1GbE network. Can I use just the two pairs and the connection will auto negotiate?

Thx in advance!

Read section 19.0 of the datasheet.

Section 19 doesn't answer my question!

It does. And so does the fifth bullet item under “Ethernet features” on page 3

Oh well - there's always next year

    And this is wrong:
but I only see two pairs, one TX, one RX,

That is not "two pairs" of signals, it is "one pair" of signals. The ethernet interface uses a lot more signals then that and section 19 of the datasheet discusses all of them.
