Can a tcp/ip server be easily modified to be using the harmony network presentation layer?

Is there a huge difference? Can my code be modified in the MHC or is it something completely different that needs to be redone from scratch? I read the documentation(volume 1,2,3,4 harmony development), but I am new and its confusing... Any advice is appreciated!
Info:
-programming in C, using MPLAB X and Harmony, PIC32, XC32 v2.05

The standard Harmony socket calls could be replaced by NET_PRES calls.
The NET_PRES has been designed to make this mapping straightforward.
But MHC cannot replace the calls for you, it needs to be done manually in the module that you want to modify.
