Pic24EP problem with microstick II

Hello, I program pic 32 with the microstick 2 and there's no problem, I Can use the debugger wich is  very cool ( i come from arduino, very limited) but when I try to program pic24EP no matter what I'm doing there's always the following result when debuging with the microstick II :

Programming/Verify complete
The target device is not ready for debugging. Please check your configuration bit settings and program the device before proceeding. The most common causes for this failure are oscillator and/or PGC/PGD settings.

and the debug stop. I've spent several hours to try to understand ... is there something I miss ? The pic restes on a breadboard is well written so l don't understand wy it débuts with the pic32 and not with the pic24ep128mc202.

Thanks in advance ans sorry for my frenchy english :)

    Hi,
    PIC24EP128MC202     have programming/debugging pins on:
    pin 4 and 5, PGED3 and PGEC3,
    pin 6 and 7, PGEC1 and PGED1, and
    pin 14 and 15, PGED2 and PGEC2

    PGEDA and PGECA on the Microstick 2 board is connected to PGED3 and PGEC3 in this chip type.
    For Debugging to function, you have to specify this connection.
    #pragma config ICS = 1
    or
    #pragma config ICS = PGD3

    There are documentation in directories installed with the XC16 compiler, somewhere like:
    file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Microchip/xc16/v1.34/docs/config_docs/24EP128MC202.html

    This forum is mis-configured so it only works correctly if you access it via https protocol.
    The Microchip website links to it using http protocol. Will they ever catch on?
