To modulate and output the clock with a Dil8 PIC?

Does the config word can be written repeatedly (PIC12F1571) to modulate Clockout pin? Is there by chance any way to modulate (on/off) the clock (or at least Fclk/4) and output it to a pin of a DIL8 8bit PIC?
Thanks and Regards,  Simon

Not sure what you mean by "modulate" in this context.
It takes a reset to reload the configuration word, so you're not going to get any rapid change.

CLKOUT is only controlled by the config word, there is no other way to control it.

The Microchip website links to it using http protocol. Will they ever catch on?

You can do something like that (modulating in AM or FM) on PIC24 (and alike) that feature REFCLK capability and/or OSCTUNE. Something like

I'm curious if "modulate" means "turn off and on" or "vary frequency" in this context.

Only On/Off, as written in my stupid question, sorry. It's because of a bug in the PIC's parametric search (or in my knowledge about it) - if you enter a package, it can not be changed without starting a new search. Then I found at least 3 Pics in DIP8 (12F1501, 16F15313, 16F18313) with Conf.Log.Cell and Num.Contr.Osc, which could be used.
    Thanks again and Regards!
