inc files

My firmware makes use of several inc files written in assembly.  How can I add these to an MPLAB Xpress project. At the moment it just doesn't see them.  They work fine in MPLAB X and the wonderful glorious MPLAB v8.

You can do this by right-clicking on a project folder and choosing "Import File".

I agree that MPLAB V8 is wonderful and glorious! Every time I have tried to go to MPLAB X it has been a VERY costly and total disaster and I have had to back it out and go back to MPLAB V8. Now I can't even find the .inc files for the newer devices. And of course the SEARCH on the web site finds nothing. Why does everything always have to get worse over time?

For what its worth the compilers now use a "magic" include file that is supposed to cover all supported PIC models. For XC8 it is #include <xc.h>

For me the big breakthrough was finding a link to some unofficial example files.

I don't have "history" with MPLAB prior to MPLAB X as I started out using MPASM/MPSIM and so the old MPLAB was the "new thing I disliked".
