SNMPv3 and USART

Hello,

I am using Harmony 2.03b and a PIC32MZ2048EFM144 Starter Kit.

I am trying to get the snmpv3 module working with the current project. There was a working usart connection before enabling snmpv3 and I can see through a logic analyzer that the transmit portion of the usart module is still functional and I can also see the reply from an external unit however now that snmpv3 is enabled the PIC is no longer recognizing the received bytes.

Has anyone seen this before or know of why this may be happening?

Thanks!
Ben

Hello all,

Is there anyway I can bump this up? I still have not found resources about this or anything in documentation about shared resources that would cause this.

Thanks!
Ben

Also should note that snmpv2 did not cause this issue both were working previously only when adding v3 did it happen

There shouldn't be any interference between the TCP/IP stack and the UART. The TCP/IP stack can only use the system console over UART if directed but just sends messages to it. So adding SNMP to your application or not, shouldn't have any effect on the UART functionality.

How exactly do you try to use the UART on the PIC32MZ: the UART driver, the SYS_CONSOLE over UART, UART plibs, direct register access, etc? Please give some details.
If you use one of the provided Harmony services that include the UART, then make sure that in the updated project that added SNMP the corresponding service is still selected.
