I think it has a long way to go to catch up with MPLAB C18 for PIC18. It also has a long way to go to catch up with other C compilers for PIC12/16. Still people have used it with success. And the sdcc developers are quite helpful. By the way, it is said sdcc is pretty good for 8051. USB_Links and libusb #10
