Tank Battle

Test your eye-hand coordination by playing our Tank Battle game, an interactive radio-controlled mashup between air hockey and demolition derby.  An old-school arcade joystick controls a SAM D21 microcontroller (MCU) powered battle tank with wireless connectivity provided by an RN4871 Bluetooth® module. The battle tank design also showcases how our MPLAB® Harmony V3 Embedded Software Development Framework and MikroElektronika Click boards™  enable rapid development of the SAM D21 MCU-based control system.

SmartFusion® 2 System on Chip FPGAs

The SmartFusion® 2 System on Chip (SoC) demo highlights the capabilities of our low-density, low-power SoC FPGA family. Offering a complete 166 MHz Arm® Cortex®-M2 microcontroller subsystem, 16 transceiver lanes and hardened DDR2/3 memory controllers, SmartFusion 2 SoC FPGAs are ideal for Gigabit Ethernet or dual PCI Express® control planes, bridging functions, input/output (I/O) expansion and conversion, video/image processing, system management and secure connectivity. The demonstration runs digital signal processing, image processing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) digital recognition applications.  

SAM9X60 Linux® Solutions

The Ensemble Graphics Toolkit (EGT) is a new graphics software package that provides the features and an Application Program Interface (API) to make it easy to develop applications using our 32-bit embedded Linux microprocessors (MPUs). We designed EGT to work with our hardware and provide a complete application-level graphics solution that works with our existing drivers and libraries, along with the extensive Linux ecosystem of resources. See some examples of EGT running on our SAM9X60 Evaluation Kit in this interactive demonstration.

Intelligent cloud gateways convert low-value data into edge-processed, high-value data. Learn how to create an intelligent cloud gateway based on our SAMA5 MPU using our Linux-based Amazon Web Services (AWS) Intelligent Gateway Evaluation Kit and software scripts.

Automatic Cloud Enrollment

See how the factory pre-provisioned identity stored in a SAM L11 MCU can be used to authenticate multiple cloud ecosystems. This cloud-agnostic identity gives an IoT device the flexibility to connect to the cloud provider of your choice. This means that you do not have to rearchitect or reprogram a board for each cloud provider, which saves you both time and cost.

Creating Professional-Looking Embedded Graphics

This demonstration highlights the scalability of our MPLAB Harmony Graphics Suite (MHGS), which is part of the MPLAB Harmony embedded software development framework. This powerful and free solution is designed to take advantage of our high-performance, 32-bit embedded graphics MCUs and MPUs to enable you to quickly and easily add Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), animation and imagery to your graphical display. We will show you how the same base package of graphics libraries works on our Arm Cortex-M0+, M4 and M7 based MPUs.

Secure Authentication to AWS IoT Core with a Secure Element

Learn how to protect your private keys used for trusted authentication in a secure element, while leveraging certificate-based authentication. This traditional security model uses the ATECC608A secure element to provide JIL “high”-rated security  to systems with standard microcontrollers (MCUs), such as Arm® Cortex®-M0+ and Cortex®-M4 based devices, or more advanced Linux®-based Greengrass systems.
