DC/DC Converter

Multiple voltage rails are utilized within electric and hybrid electric vehicles, with a low-voltage rail for traditional electrical loads and higher voltage rails used for direct or assisted propulsion and other high-voltage functions.  DC/DC converters are key components for voltage balancing and the bi-directional transfer of energy between the different voltage rails within these vehicles.

Microchip’s digital power solutions enable designs that offer higher system efficiency and integration, higher power density, faster control loops and more flexibility in various power topologies. Additionally, these solutions can reduce BOM and system costs, while providing the necessary components for a functionally safe design.
