Current Sense Amplifiers
The need to accurately measure a dynamic current is critical in a wide variety of applications, such as monitoring or charging batteries, creating a current controlled feedback loop for a power supply or motor, or to simply monitor current levels for safety reasons. Microchip’s current sense amplifiers provide a high flexibility, high-precision solution to maximize efficiency and reliability with a zero-drift architecture which makes this solution more robust across a wide range of environmental conditions and applications.
Current Sense Amplifiers Highlights
- A wide specified input common-mode range from 3.0V to 65V provides the flexibility to address a variety of voltage rails, including overhead for transients
- The zero-drift architecture enables ultra-low offsets below 16 µV maximum, allowing the use of smaller shunt resistors without sacrificing resolution
- An integrated, on-chip electromagnetic (EMI) filter reduces high frequency interference, ideal for harsh, electrically noisy environments
