Abstract

This document describes, how the radio transceiver AT86RF231 is programmed at register level. It provides the programmer with the most important programming sequences needed to run the radio transceiver. Many values in the SWPM are based on the AT86RF231 datasheet. So this manual should always be read in conjunction with the AT86RF231 datasheet.

In this document, the term "standard" denotes IEEE 802.15.4-2003 and IEEE 802.15.4.-2006. In cases, where only one standard is mentioned the text refers only to this particular version of the standard.
