A high-temperature H-bridge motor driver designed for DC motor control applications in automotive high temperature environments. With a maximum junction temperature of 200ºC, this driver is suitable for applications with an ambient temperature up to 150ºC. The IC includes four driver stages to control four external power MOSFETs. An external microcontroller provides the direction signal and the PWM frequency.
The development kit contains a main board with an H-bridge gate driver (ATA6823), external FETs, and DC motor. The controller board is populated with an ATmega88 microcontroller and LCD display.
The development board contains an triple half bridge driver (ATA6832), ATmega88 microcontroller, and ATA6625 LIN SBC as a voltage regulator. Only high-temperature components populate this board. Intention of the kit is demonstrating the features of the ATA6843/44 System Basis Chip BLDC Gate Driver. Motor position feedback operates with Back-Electromotive-Force (Back-EMF). Motor control microcontroller is ATmega32M1. For monitoring and evaluating purposes is an USB interface on board.
