A/D Converters

Successive Approximation Register (SAR) A/D

Microchip's SAR (Successive Approximation Register) ADC offering provides a broad selection for low power applications. Based on advanced CMOS architecture and innovative design, these devices operate with an active conversion current as low as 175µA. The MCP30XX, MCP32XX, and MCP33XX families offer resolutions of 10-13-bits, sampling speeds of 22ksps to 200ksps, multiple channel inputs, and I2C or SPI interfaces.

Sigma - Delta A/D

The TC340x products are not recommended for new designs.
Please consider the MCP3551 or MCP3553.

Dual Slope A/D

The TC5XX family of precision analog front ends implement a dual-slope architecture which provides 17-bit plus sign resolution. Noise rejection of 50/60Hz and flexible speed vs. resolution configuration make these devices suitable for a variety of data acquisition systems.

Binary and BCD A/D

Microchip offers ADCs with BCD and binary outputs that are well-suited for direct display and microcontroller-based measurement systems. High precision plus industry standard interfaces and pinouts make these devices fit in applications such as sensor interfaces, process controls, panel meters, instrumentation.

Display A/D

Microchip offers a wide variety of display ADCs, which provide a complete data acquisition system on a chip. The TC71XX devices can directly drive a LCD or LED display with 3½ and 4½ digit options making them ideal for multimeters and digital measurement devices.
