The XLP 16-bit Development Board (DM240311) provides a low-cost, highly configurable development system for Microchips new line of extreme low power 16-bit PIC24F microcontrollers which feature sleep currents down to 20nA. The board support development on PIC24F16KA102, PIC24FJ64GA102 and PIC24F64GB002 families of MCUs. The board can be powered by over five sources including batteries and energy harvesting modules and supports a variety of common components that can be selectively enabled.

   

XLP 8-bit Development Board (PIC16 and PIC18 Families)

The XLP 8-bit Development Board provides a low-cost, highly configurable development system for Microchips new line of extreme-low-power 8-bit PIC18 F or PIC16F Enhanced core microcontrollers that allow for design of sleep currents down to 20 nA. The board supports development for the PIC18F87K22 or PIC16LF1947 MCUs, which highlight the capabilities of each product family. The board can be powered by five different power sources including batteries or energy harvesting modules (sold separately), and it supports a variety of common components that can be selective enabled. The board is also expandable through the on-board PICtail connector that permits the addition of capabilities such as RF connectivity.

The PIC18 Starter Kit (DM180021) contains everything needed to experience the high performance and versatility of the PIC18F46J50 family. It includes an on-board debugger/programming capability as well as USB communication, a capacitive touch pad, potentiometer, acceleration sensor, MicroSD™ memory card, and an OLED display. The board can function as a USB mouse, joystick or mass storage device (thumb drive) all using the on-board capacitive touch sense pads.

F1 Evaluation Platform (PIC16F1937 Family)

The F1 Evaluation Platform is a demonstration/development tool for Enhanced Mid-range PIC microcontrollers (PIC12F1xxx/PIC16F1xxx). Populated with a PIC16LF1937 featuring XLP technology, this platform consists of a 44-pin development board with prototyping space, 3V LCD glass, support for the Motor Control add-on (coming soon), and support for PICkit 3 & PICkit Serial. This kit provides a platform for general purpose development, and includes demonstrations focusing on low Power, LCD, and motor control.

The DM164120-3 is a small demo board that comes populated with Microchips PIC16F886 28-pin microcontroller and includes a generous prototyping area. This kit also includes two bare boards for those interested in customizing their development. The 28-pin board also comes bundled with the PICkit Serial Analyzer if you order DV164122 (PICkit Serial Analyzer Kit). To evaluate the PIC16F72x family, you also need to order a 28-pin sample to populate on this board.

The PICDEM PIC18 Explorer (DM183032) low-cost demo board is the main board you need to evaluate Microchips PIC18 MCU families. The PIC18 Explorer features a PIC18F8722 microcontroller, which is the superset of our traditional PIC18 general purpose 5V family. Also, the board comes with the PIC18F87J11 processor PIM which is the superset of our PIC18 J-series of 3V MCUs for cost sensitive applications. The single development board supports dozens of the general purpose PIC18 families using various processor Plug-In Modules (PIMs).

The PIC18F87K22 Processor Plug-In Module (MA180028) includes a 80-pin PIC18F87K22 that can be plugged into the PIC18 Explorer Board for evaluation of this XLP MCU family.

The PIC18F46J50 FS USB PIM Demo Board (MA180024) is a full speed USB demonstration and development board featuring the PIC18F46J50. The board can be operated either standalone or as a Plug-In Module (PIM) plugged into the PIC18 Explorer Board (DM183032). The PIC18F46J50 FS USB PIM Demo Board comes with the RJ-11 to ICSP adapter (AC164110) allowing the microcontroller to be reprogrammed with either RJ-11 or 6-pin inline programmers.
