Microchip Development Tools are software and hardware components to help you design applications using Microchip devices.In order to guide you through the various tools provided by Microchip, we present this brief introduction to the software and hardware tools. On the left panel are various sections and resources that are part of this overview. Note the 9 sections in “Development Tools Made Easy.” You can go through these sequentially or view any one of them to get an understanding of the power that Microchip development tools offer.Below that in the left pane in “Tools: A Closer Look” are some additional “Start Now” sections covering MPLAB Projects, MPLAB’s Editor, Simulator and other components of MPLAB IDE.In lower panes, links are available to essential documentation and other tools, such as the Development Tool Selector, an easy tool to match each PIC® MCU and dsPIC® DSC devices to the appropriate development tools, connectors and adapters.Finally, other links on the bottom of the left pane are provided to guide you toward other avenues of learning about Microchip development, including development tool manuals, text books, on-line discussion groups, and tools for Microchip devices offered by other companies.
