For any application to begin proper operation, the application must power-up properly. Many criteria must be taken into account to ensure this. The PICmicro? devices integrate several features to simplify the design for the power-up sequence. These integrated features also reduce the total system cost. This application note describes the requirements for the device to properly power-up, common pitfalls that designers encounter, and methods to assist in solving power-up problems.
