Community Involvement
At Microchip Technology, giving back to our communities is an integral part of our culture. Microchip gives back to communities via company charity drives, employee contributions to the United Way, matching qualified employee donations, the Microchip Academic Program, sponsorship of FIRST organizations, and associations with various organizations.
With support to the United Way, our employees make vital impacts to those in need throughout our communities by assisting nearly 500 results driven United Way funded programs.
Through our contributions to FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology), we are helping to build our future leaders. FIRST is a multinational non-profit organization, which aspires to transform culture by making science, math, engineering, and technology fun for kids.

The Academic Program demonstrates Microchip's on-going commitment to education by offering unique benefits and resources for educators, researchers, and students worldwide. Microchip partners with academia to increase the knowledgebase in embedded applications and promote that knowledge with future engineers and innovations.
The Microchip Technology Charitable Foundation supports many agencies of need by initiating company charity drives. Microchip provides assistance to many organizations in the form of cash donations every year and reserves some of its charitable budget to match employee donations to qualified charities.
