 I can't receive my activation email, what can I do?

I'm a chinese student from Xi'an Jiaotong University. My email is qiaomuf@stu.xjtu.edu.cn. I can't receive my activation email and my password email(Because I tried to get My password email to test the email system, my password is now modified and I don't know what it is.). I need some samples to study, but I can't get samples until I activated my account. Please help me!

    I would expect resetting passwords not to take effect until the email address associated with it has already been verified - presumably this has been done in the past but is now not working for some reason.
     
    If email notifications were working, then it should have been possible to send yourself a personal message and get notification of that to test the system (which of course would be totally non-destructive), but PMs also seem to be turned off.
     
    One day the forum will be administered properly, it is now apparently going to be looked at but I'm not holding my breath.
     
    I guess you'll have to re-register with another address. Try creating a web based email account on say hotmail (assuming your system allows access to this). You should then be able to log in and change the email address only which, if set up correctly, wouldn't take effect until verified. Keep yourself logged in until it works just in case, then you can revert back to a working address before logging out.

      But it seems that I can't change my email address after registering.Online sample site no longer accepts orders from generic ISP accounts such as Yahoo and Hotmail.

        You are correct that the email and PMs within Forums are not working at this time.  We are going to fix this issue, and others, in a project that will start next month.  Sorry about this, but thanks for your patience!

            thanks very much,but I made a foolish mistake,I have tried to receive my password email for testing the mail system,so I have changed my password.
            I'm sure that this email address:qiaomuf@stu.xjtu.edu.cn can't receive emails from foreign country.Could you help me send my password to qiaomuf@163.com?
