i get top2005 usb programmer with software Topwin

it cant read or write pic16f628a if i choose it from the list but it can if i choose some other like pic12f629 with errors

can one help me ?

Status: offline 		Searched the internet and found the products web site: http://www.ty51.com/index1.htm

Most of the hits from google pointed to ebay auctions trying to sell these.

Many of the other hits were from people with bad problems using this programmer.

Try to get an ICD2. Clones can be found on ebay. Get only the one with Full Speed USB support. The other, less costly, ones are serial interface only.

What did the supplier or manufacturer of this programmer say when you discussed this "non-programming of 16F628a" problem with them?

Status: offline 		The 16fXXXa series need more accurate programmer timing than 16fxxx, so maybe they cannot make the hardware and/or software good enough to program these devices. This is only my idea about the problem..
