Hello, I am a student and I am starting to programm a 16F877A with a PICDEM2+ Demo board, using the 2*16 LCD Display. Unfortunately, yesterday I let the PICDEM2 board fall off and broke the LCD dispaly.... Is anyone able to give me the reference a this LCD display or where can I buy a new one to replace the broken one? Thanks a lot. Reguards BCM

Hi. That’s unfortunate. I know the details of the picdem2+’s LCD came up here about 6mths ago+ or about, when another poster required it and Microchip kindly gave out its identification details. If have tried to do a forum search using key words, but can’t seem to find it. Probably because I’m not sure how to work the forum search that far back. All I can say that is it a bog-standard 16x2 HD44780 compatible. If you do have problems with getting the exact replacement (COG). I see no real difficulties in replacing it with other types than a chip-on-glass type and maybe incorporating one with a backlight instead. This is what I would do if ever I have problems with mine. Regards. Violin.
