PIC32MX570F512L JTAG programmation

Hi all,
I'm aiming to program PIC32MX570F512L using a 4-wire JTAG.
I have a "PIC32MX1/2/5 Starter Kit", a "Starter Kit I/O Expansion Board" and a J-link probe. I'm using MPLAB X with Harmony v2_02_00b on Windows 8.

My first problem is that PIC32MX570F512L is not in the supported device list for J-link probe. I asked Segger to add it but I don’t have any answer yet.
Is there any other mean to program my PIC32 with an other probe?
I tried nevertheless to program my PIC32 with the J-link probe and I obtained this error “Connection Failed. MPLABComm returned an error code of -406, System (Linux/OSX errno.h) error value 106.”
I have no clue to what this error means and I can’t conclude if this error is due to my device being not supported or by something else. If you have any idea on the meaning of this error, let me know.

To conclude, I would like to confirm the procedure to use 4-wire JTAG with Harmony and J-link:
First, I installed the probe driver and the MPLAB plug-in: SEGGER JLink Probe.
Besides, in my project proprieties I select the JLink probe and put it in 4-wire mode.
Finally, I compiled my Harmony project with JTAGEN ON (on the device configuration).

Any advice is welcome.

    Hi,
    J-link probe now support PIC32MX570F512L and PIC32MX570F512H (since V6.16g of J-Link software).
Regarding SEGGER probes, any information related to supported devices is available at this page: https://www.segger.com/pr...rted-cpus-and-devices/
If you request support for a new device, it took about a month to Microchip to do the upgrade and they needed an evaluation board to validate it.
The JTAG programming works well and I can use debug without problem (I was a bit afraid that the debug could be limited because the documentation specifies “Not all debug features are available when using JTAG.”).

If anyone is searching for another JTAG probe, MPLAB REAL ICE can be used with a JTAG adaptor http://ww1.microchip.com/.../DeviceDoc/52094B.pdf. I didn’t use this solution.

I didn't manage to edit my message but I meant SEGGER instead of Microchip.

Thanks. The REALICE link is slightly broken - there's an extra period at the end.

Anyway, here is the correct link to MPLAB REAL ICE Jtag adaptor : http://ww1.microchip.com/...n/DeviceDoc/52094B.pdf
