USB2514 - Manufacturer String

Hi,

I design a custom board for USB2514 with eeprom.
The first time i tested, configured to boot with default configuration. It woks fine.
Changed the straps to work with eeprom, and programed successfully.

Now i like to use a custom string for Manufacturer and Product, and can´t put with the right.

Have someone tried to put successful can share an example.

Thanks

Oh this took a while to dig up my SMSC notes on this one.  Notebook is from 2009, didn't think it was that long ago.

Did you set register 0x11 and 0x12, the Language ID?  For English, you should set 0x11=0x04, and 0x12=0x09.

My notes were after enumeration Windows changed the description to "Generic USB Hub" in the device manager.  Only comment was "INF File needed for this to work".   Keep in mind that was XP days. Didn't note any other details.

I remember some versions of Win didn't like string length set to 0 length.   Worked with Win7 & XP SP3,  but XP SP2 & Vista (cough) needed it to be at least 01.

    AVR JTAG DEBUGGING ISSUE

    Hi,
I am using AVR JTAGICE3 debugger for debugging in atmel studio 7.0 on atxmega128d3 controller. I am able to program the controller and debug also but most of the breakpoints are not getting hit at the time of debugging which makes me struggle while coding/debugging.

To confirm the hardware and debugger, i have tried to debug the same with my collegue's laptop and the debugging is going very smooth in his laptop with the same controller/hardware and JTAG.
He is also using the Atmel Studio 7.0 on windows 8.1.

can anyone help me out on this please?

Of all the threads in all the subforums in all the Microchip world, you hijack this one?

Although now a Microchip product, AVR is not supported on this forum (yet). The old AVR forums are still active I believe https://community.atmel.com/forum
