MplabX 2.2 build ERROR: System Cannot find the path specified.

Gang,
Windows: I had to clear up some space on my hard drive because I had to install Xilinx ISE (20G). I had a ton of pre-release MZ compilers and stuff so I went through the control panel and deleted all but XC32 v1.33 and several really old MPLABS and 8 versions of harmony keeping on v_100.

This freed up 33G and I installed the Xilinx software and then went back to my MplabX to do some work on a new product with the PIC32MX270. I made some changes and compiled the code and got the following message immediately.

make -f nbproject/Makefile-default.mk SUBPROJECTS= .build-conf
make[1]: Entering directory 'C:/Users/Gordon Rankin/Desktop/Applications/pic32/enano/enano/firmware/enano.X'
make  -f nbproject/Makefile-default.mk dist/default/debug/enano.X.debug.elf
make[2]: Entering directory 'C:/Users/Gordon Rankin/Desktop/Applications/pic32/enano/enano/firmware/enano.X'
The system cannot find the path specified.
make[2]: *** [build/default/debug/_ext/662507003/drv_i2s_dma.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
The system cannot find the path specified.
make[2]: *** [build/default/debug/_ext/595922922/drv_tmr.o] Error 1

The files and directories have not changed a bit. So I opened another project that is shipping and I got the same error, well different directories.

So I created a new harmony project for the PIC32MX270 and it has the same problem as well.

So then I reinstalled MplabX, XC32 and Harmony set everything up... still the same problem.

Changing directories to a valid path is the simplest of things. Does anyone have any idea what's going on there?

Thanks in advance!
Gordon

    +1 (1)
Check which compiler is selected in the project settings.

Thanks, it had 1.33 selected (green bullet) but when I reselected it, applied and did the build it worked.

    Thanks again,

The green bullet just means available. The selected one will be highlighted.
