PICKit2 problem to program PIC18f25K50/45K50

Hello
With PICKit2 and file PK2DeviceFile attached, we can program new PICs PIC18F25K50 and PIC18F45K50
but we have a problem: the configuration bits of 18F45K25/50 are wrong, for example for bits
of config5 6 and 7 we have only 2 bits in lsb byte instead of 4 bits of 18F2550/4550 therefore the
PICKit2 can't write correctly the configuration bits.
Does anyone know a solution?

Thanks in advance

Where did you get that from?   The last official release was v1.62.14.

There is a 3rd party effort to continue PICkit 2 support but I am not aware of any release past v1.63.146 and the device file you posted is v1.63.148

Its probably fairly simple to fix the appropriate CONFIG masks with the device file editor.

    Thanks for your reply Ian.M
I have found file PK2Devicefile.dat version v1.63.148 in this link in this forum.
As you say, I've modified the appropriate CONFIG masks with the device file editor and now works fine.
    I attached the modified file.

Great.   I suggest you post your modified  v1.63.148 to that topic in an attempt to keep the development coordinated.  In your post, please describe the changes from GCP6CA's version and - as far as you know them - the changes from scasis's last version hosted at Au Group.

Mike Duan (miceduan) of  AU Group Electronics is the leading* second source fully PICkit 2 compatible programmer manufacturer and has worked with the original development team to improve the product and extend its capabilities.  If he adopts an update, I would rate it as nearly an official release.

    * Most of the other clone and  so called 'compatible' PICkit 2 manufacturers have contributed nothing to PICkit 2 development and a significant number have reduced spec. or poor quality products.

    HI,
I have modified the PICKit2 PC application and Pk2devicefile to support most of Microchip's PIC families including all available PIC32MX, nearly all PIC24EP, and dsPIC33EP, all PIC24F, all dsPIC33F, all PIC18FxxK, PIC12F1xxx and PIC16F1xxx. Over 1000 types can be supported. I have tested a lot of controller in DIP package but can't test with high pin count SMD packages.

Is there somewhere your modifications can be downloaded from?
