Hi everybody

I wish running *.hex files directly with no need for opening first the pickit 2 program.
But when I do so, I get the message "Device file PK2 DeviceFile.dat  not found. Must be in same directory as executable".
Does someone know what it means?

thank you very much.

Nathaniel - You don't say how you are are trying to run the hex file however to load a hex file for programming or running you should use File: Import and then point to the hex file. You have to manually select the processor type yourself (before you import the hex file).

Hi martin, thanks for your answer, but its not what I mean,
When I say running the hex file, I mean by double clicking on it. And that is precisely the way I want it to be made.

Thanks for help

A PICkit2cmd utility provides a rich command line interface. Just associate the .hex files with it and add required options in a launch shortcut.

Hi MBedder
what you propose seems really interesting, but unhappily, I really don't know how to do it. Can you please develop?

Thank you very much
