Is there a standalone version of the DMCI tool for the host (windows or linux)?

I'm afraid as Microchip releases new IDEs (ex. MPLab X), existing DMCI projects may not migrate.

I'm guessing MPLab 8.10+ just needs the .hex file and map file in order to find and display the arrays, but is there any reason why it needs the rest of the IDE?   (It's be nice if single variables could be controlled as well!)

Hi JasonK!
I have tried adding the RTDM.c, RTD.h and RTDMUSER.h in my code in order to use de Real Time Data Monitor (as the User Guide DS70567A says), however when i try to define the values for the RTDM macros the code seems to be protected, i can´t change de values. I´m using the dsp33fj128mc804 with the Explorer 16 and MPLAB X with XC16. Thanks!

Is there a version that works in MPLAB-x V4?

I can see how this could be very useful indeed!
