MPLAB & ICD2 : Bad COM Port Selection

Hello all,

I've got a problem with MPLAB 7.31 (but in 7.30 it was the same, older I dont know) : when i select COM3 (or greather)  in ICD2 Setup Wizard, in the summary the previous COM port (COM2) is selected ! What's this ?

I hope that you have an idee to solve this.

Regards,
E.Chapatte

    Hi echapatte,

The summary display in the ICD2 setup wizard seems to be incorrect.  When I select COM5, the summary screen incorrectly shows COM4.  However, when I try to connect, the ICD2 software component uses COM5.  The Debugger -> Settings -> Communication tab also shows COM5.

Thanks for the post.  I'll enter a bug report.

    HowardH : Thank you !

JasonK : Yes the summary is correct ! But it isnt the port that you selected (if com port number greather than 2); this is always one port before the selected, I.E :

    have port : 1,2,3,4         selected 4          summarized 3
    have port : 1,2,5,6         selected 5          summarized 2

    Thank your for bug repport
