PICKIT4 or ICD4

Goodmorning,
i tested pickit4 and it's very fast, for many microcontroller support unlimited breakpoints software, breakpoints hardware, function of "new data breackpoint".
What is the difference between ICD4 and PICKIt4? I don't understand.
I wanted to buy ICD4 but i uncertain.

The main differences that I see are these:
    • Power to Target: ICD4 can provide up to 1A (plugged in to a power supply), whereas the PICkit4 can only provide 50 mA.
    • SDCard: PICkit4 has an SD Card slot for storing programming images for Programmer to Go. It's not fully implemented yet, but will be in the near future.
    • Breakpoints: ICD4 can give you complex breakpoints (i.e. daisy chained/nested breakpoints). PICkit4 is only simple breakpoints.
    • Overvoltage/current protections: PICkit4 does it in software, whereas the ICD4 does it in hardware.
They're pretty much identical, otherwise. The ICD4 does have an FPGA on board, which allows us to implement some things in the future that would either not be possible, or require a slower software solution, from the PICkit4.

    Hope that helps!

    ICD4 is faster.
    ICD4 covers more devices.
PICKIT4 works with versions 4.15 and 4.20 only. Both full of bugs.
