Can't eliminate all the brakpoints

I'm trying to debug with PicKit Onboard Explorer 16/32 but there's about 4 breakpoints that I can't disable or eliminate them.
I found a thread about but is from 2012; I can't believe that 6 years later the bug still there!

I've having this from a month ago but now it gets really annoying because one of those breakpoints is in a location where the program goes several times in a second.

Any idea how to fix this?

    Does clear all breakpoints work?

Restart, clr all then restart again.

    Clear cach.

    No, it didn't work.
I fix it by disconnecting from debug tool(not physically).

Just curious, are you saying that you have had the MPLABX IDE running on your workstation for a month and have never stopped the debug session, exited the IDE or restarted your workstation until now?

You must be running MacOS or Linux cause Windows ain't dat stable with MPLABX running.

I think Dan's point is that if you fixed the problem by disconnecting from the debug tool, how have you had the problem for a month unless you remained "connected" to the debug tool for that entire time...

The Microchip website links to it using http protocol. Will they ever catch on?

Because there's 4 hidden breakpoints and since the program is very short I just use the other 2.
Anyway, those 4 breakpoints never go away, I closed the MPLAB X, unplugged physically and even shutdown the PC several times and the breakpoints stay.

Now it gets very annoying because they was halting the program constantly.

Have you tried deleting the code that contains the break-points?

Agreed, you did not say that you had not restarted MPLABX or your workstation.

    You did say:

I fix it by disconnecting from debug tool(not physically).

My error is that I took this to imply that this is the first time in a month that you had ended your debug session by logically disconnecting the MPLABX debug session from the ICD tool.

    Now you are saying:

Anyway, those 4 breakpoints never go away, I closed the MPLAB X, unplugged physically and even shutdown the PC several times and the breakpoints stay.

Can we be clear that what you claimed as "fixed" in post #3 is not in fact fixed?

I ask because there are still some steps you can try but they can be a lot of trouble to perform and may not fix what is actually wrong.

As the code is very short, start a new project, copy/paste your code in.

Dashboard says Program BP Used: 4 Free: 2 ?
    Checked Window... Debugging... Breakpoints?

Out of interest, how are you using the other two with the four 'hidden' ones still there?  I mean - if it stops on a hidden breakpoint, how can you tell?

    dom.

    p.s.

That's wierd.  Opened a project... breakpoints window shows two breakpoints. In different projects to the one I just opened (they may have been opened at the same time and de bugged together, but still seems odd).
