Hi

Started with this one http://oldcomputers.net/pics/intel-mcs-85.jpg

Wanna have one? 10 minutes ago there was an offer in a German forum ;-)

And another one at eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/...SIGN-KIT-/361841095375
It might be interesting just as a curiosity. Think I still have the full ASM listing of the source code of the "monitor program" that runs on it.
The capabilities of that kit are so low, that it seems almost discreet electronics compared to any curiosity board with a PIC in it.
BTW, Me and a few coleagues once put that kit to work with a discreet implementation (TTL74 family + plenty of wires om breadboard) of the 8085.
As it was all breadborded it showed plenty of errors and low stability at the 4MHz of the MCS-85 clock, but with a slower clock from an external oscillator it went quite well.
We were lucky that it was done during winter, all those 74s on breadboard eat up a lot of power but we can use to keep our hands warm. LoL: LoL

Best regards
Jorge

I write everything in assembly - from 1978 to this very day.  I created several products that consisted of 1.5+ million lines of assembly code. :)

Most of the programs to convert are quite "simple" and run on PIC 16F628A (less than 500 instructions).
The most difficult program is for 16C765 because it contains all USB primitives....

To think now they can put billlions of transistors in one small area is Alien tech.

MPLab X playing up, bug in your code? Nevermind, Star Trek:Discovery will be with us soon.
