How to get temperature and Light sensor values from Ubuntu terminal

Hi,
In LoRawan mOTE with RN2483,
I seen GPIO12 and GPIO13 pins provides the readings of temp. and light.
How can I automatically fetch the data and send via seriel port to terminal in linux PC or file in Linux PC.
or
How can I auto send the temp and light sensor data at specific time interval to Ubuntu PC via seriel Connection.

Any idea on this....

Thanks and Regards,

You have to changer the firmware running on the PIC18LF.

Or there 's a possibility to interface directly with the RN2483 using the UART PINS,and you can send directly a command to have the temp/light value.
Be prudent with the UART level,it must be TTL 3V3 (not 5V), you can use for example an TTL to USB device to send commands directly to the RN2483.

    Hello Mohammed,
    thank you...
I have the DV164140-1 - Evaluation Kit 800 which comes with MOTE with serial USB connector (MECH HW cable USB male-A to Micro-B , PC to RN2483 MOTE) with PC.
I think now I don't need for custom TTL 3v3 ... So, just conenct the USB UART to RN2483 board and can send and receive data...
Am I correct and what is the terminal program for Ubuntu to Mote can I use and retrive the data via sys commands.

    Thanks.
