Fifth generation of highly integrated, full featured Hi-Speed USB 2.0 transceiver based on Microchip's proven ULPI interface supports a wide variety of different reference clock frequencies, as well as accepting clocking from crystal/resonators and the ULPI 60 MHz clock-in mode. The family includes support for battery charging within traditional QFNs and very small formfactor, wafer-level chip scale packages (WLCSP). Eliminates the need for external VBus over-voltage protection ICs, USB switches, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection devices, and reference oscillators, minimizing eBOM part count and conserving valuable board space.
