Xplained Pro Extension Kits

The ZigBit extension boards are targeted for evaluating the features of the ZigBits, currently supporting ATmega256RFR2 wireless SoC, the AT86RF212B radio transceivers.

What is in the box: AT86RF212B ZigBit Xplained PRO Extension

This ZigBit extension board is targeted for evaluating the features of the ZigBits, currently supporting ATmega256RFR2 wireless SoC, the AT86RF212B and AT86RF233 radio transceivers.

This extension board is targeted for evaluating the features of the AT86RF233 radio transceiver.

The XPRO-Shield Adapter enables Xplained Pro boards to be interfaced with standard Arduino shields.

The ZigBit extension board is targeted for evaluating the features of the ZigBits, currently supporting ATmega256RFR2 wireless SoC, the AT86RF212B and AT86RF233 radio transceivers.

This wireless extension board for Xplained PRO is targeted for evaluating the features of the multi-band radio transceiver AT86RF215 in the 863-928 MHz band and the 2.4 GHz band. AT86RF215 is compliant to IEEE 802.15.4-2011, IEEE 802.15.4g-2012, and ETSI TS 102 887-1.

The ATtiny3217 Xplained Pro evaluation kit is a hardware platform for evaluating the latest tinyAVR® microcontrollers. The evaluation kit comes with a fully integrated debugger that provides seamless integration with Atmel Studio.

The ATtiny3217 Xplained Pro is recommended for evaluation of the following products: ATtiny3217, ATtiny3216, ATtiny1617, ATtiny1616, ATtiny1614, ATtiny1607, ATtiny1606 and ATtiny1604.

The ATtiny3217 Xplained Pro evaluation kit does not include extension boards, which can be purchased individually.
ATtiny3217 Xplained Pro currently supports more than 20 extension boards — including wired and wireless connectivity, crypto authentication, QTouch capacitive touch kits as well as generic I/O and OLED boards.

The ATWINC1500-XPRO is an extension board to the Xplained Pro evaluation platform. The ATWINC1500-XPRO extension board allows you to evaluate the ATWINC1500 low cost, low power 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi network controller module. Supported by the Atmel Studio integrated development platform, the kit provides easy access to the features of the ATWINC1500 and explains how to integrate the device in a custom design.

ZigBit extension boards are targeted for evaluating the features of the ZigBits, currently supporting ATmega256RFR2 wireless SoC, the AT86RF212B and AT86RF233 radio transceivers.

What is in the box: ATxmega256A3U and AT86RF212B ZigBit Xplained PRO Extension

This ZigBit extension board is targeted for evaluating the features of the ZigBits, currently supporting ATmega256RFR2 wireless SoC, the AT86RF212B and AT86RF233 radio transceivers.

The ZB SAM R21 Xplained Pro evaluation kit is an extension board to evaluate and develop using the ATSAMR21G18-MR210UA ZigBee module. Supported by the Studio integrated development platform, the kit provides easy access to the features of the ATSAMR21G18-MR210UA module. The Xplained Pro extension kits offers additional peripherals to extend the features of the board and ease the development of custom designs.

BNO055 Xplained Pro is an extension with the Bosch BNO055 Intelligent 9-axis absolute orientation sensor and a RGB LED. It connects to the extension headers of any Xplained Pro evaluation kit.

The ATBNO055-XPRO extension kit does not include a Xplained Pro evaluation kit.

CryptoAuth XPRO-B evaluation and development kit is an add-on board to the XplainedPro evaluation platforms to support the ATSHA204A, ATAES132A, ATECC508A and  ATECC608A in embedded design applications. CryptoAuth XPRO-B Pro has been developed to allow fast system prototyping within the Xplained and XplainedPro evaluation environment. This kit gives engineers, developers, and decision makers a tool to understand the device architecture and its uses for product authentication, confidential file protection, perform two-factor logons, or prevent software piracy. Complete source code for the CryptoAuthentication devices is available in ASF ( Software Framework). Schematics, Gerber files, and a bill of materials are also available.

 

The AT88CKSCKTUDFN-XPRO is a Microchip XPRO extension kit for Microchip CryptoAuthentication™ devices in an 8-pin UDFN package. The board attaches to any Microchip Micro-controller board that supports the XPRO interface. The boards operate with the following Microchip Devices

ATECC108A/508A - Ecliptic Curve Security devices with I2C or Single Wire Interface
ATSHA204A - Symmetric Security Device with I2C or Single Wire Interface
ATAES132A - Secure Memory device with I2C or SPI interfaces
The boards can be used as a learning tool, development tool or for configuring and provisioning devices in limited quantities.

The CryptoAuthentication™ SOIC Xplained Pro Starter (CryptoAuth-XSTK) kit consists of a SAMD21-XPRO and an AT88CKSCKTSOIC-XPRO socket board along with Crypto Authentication sample devices.   The board works with Microchip's Crypto Evaluation Studio (ACES) out of the box and can be used for evaluation and development wih CryptoAuthentication Devices.  The kit supports all Crypto Authentication devices including the ATECC608A, ATECC508A, ATECC108A, ATSHA204A and the ATAES132A.  The kit can support I2C Interface devices, Single-Wire-Interface (SWI) devices, and devices with a SPI interface  by setting the appropriate switches on the socket board.   If a different package other than SOIC is required then a different socket board may be ordered and used with the kit. 

The firmware in the kit will also work with ATCRYPOTAUTH-XPRO and ATCRYPTOAUTH-XPRO-B boards.   A maximum of 8 CryptoAuthentication devices can be detected with the firmware.

Ethernet1 Xplained Pro is an extension board in the Xplained Pro evaluation platform. The board enables the user to experiment with Ethernet network connectivity applications.
I/O1 Xplained Pro provides a light sensor, temperature sensor, and microSD card. It connects to the extension headers of any Xplained Pro Evaluation Kit.

maXTouch Xplained Pro is an extension board in the Xplained Pro evaluation platform. The board enables the user to experiment with user interface applications with maXTouch and LCD.
Xplained Pro evaluation kits that can communicate with maXTouch Xplained Pro can be purchased individually.

The mikroBUS Xplained Pro is an extension Board in the Xplained Pro evaluation platform.
It is designed to demonstrate mikroBUS™ click boards with Xplained Pro MCU boards.
OLED1 Xplained Pro is an extension kit with a 128x32 OLED display, 3 LEDs and 3 push buttons. It connects to the extension headers of any Xplained Pro evaluation kit.
The Microchip Xpander-XPRO is an Xplained-Pro extension kit that allows for passive expansion of an Xplained-Pro Interface.  Each Xpander-XPRO board has one female XPRO connector and three right angle Male XPRO extension headers.  The board allows for connection between one Microchip microcontroller with an XPRO extension ports to up to three XPRO extension kits.   On the backside of the board, modifcation zones have been placed near each extension connector to allow for easy board modifications.

The board allows for extending the number of XPRO extensions on Microcontroller boards with limited XPRO headers.
PROTO1 Xplained Pro provides easy prototyping on the Xplained Pro platform. It connects to the extension headers of any Xplained Pro evaluation kit and can be used as a gateway to other Xplained Pro extension boards with its own Xplained Pro extension header.

QT1 Xplained Pro kit is an extension kit that enables evaluation of self- and mutual capacitance mode using the Peripheral Touch Controller(PTC). The kit shows how easy it is to design a capacitive touch board solution using the PTC without the need for any external components. The kit includes two boards, one using self-capacitance and one using mutual capacitance.

If you want to implement self capacitance sliders using the latest modular touch library, please use QT7 Xplained Pro instead.

QT2 Xplained Pro is a QTouch Surface extension board for Xplained Pro boards that demonstrates the Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) as a high performance touch-surface controller. The PTC controller uses very little power and resources from the MCU, which makes it easy to integrate touch surface support to your main project.

QT3 Xplained Pro is a QTouch keypad extension board demonstrating an ultra-low power keypad design using the Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC). Utilizing the PTCs low power capabilities it enables markets lowest power wake-up on touch.

QT5 Xplained Pro is an extension kit that enables evaluation of mutual capacitance touch using the Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC). The kit shows how easy it is to design a nice looking capacitive touch interface using the PTC module. The kit includes one board with a curved QTouch mutual capacitance slider and two QTouch mutual capacitance buttons. In addition the board has 16 LEDs arranged as two 7-segment digits with a colon (two dots) in between.
The QT6 Xplained Pro is a QTouch Surface extension board for Xplained Pro boards that demonstrates the Peripheral Touch Controller (PTC) as a high performance touch-surface controller. The PTC controller uses very little power and resources from the MCU, which makes it easy to integrate touch surface support to your main project.

Microchip® QT7 Xplained Pro kit is an extension board to evaluate self-capacitance touch - robust, water tolerant to the highest extend.

The kit demonstrates water tolerant touch using driven shield pr Driven Shield+ pending the MCU in use. The kit includes one board with self-capacitance slider and two self-capacitance buttons. Addition it has 8 LEDs enable button state and slider position feedback.

 

 

The RS485 Xplained Pro extension evaluation kit is ideal for evaluation and prototyping applications involving RS485 / 422 features of the SAM C21 Cortex®?-M0+ processor-based microcontrollers. SAM C21 Xplained Pro board can be purchased individually. The ATRS485-XPRO extension evaluation kit does not include Xplained Pro boards. SLCD1 Xplained Pro is an extension kit with a 96-segment LCD display. It connects to Xplained Pro evaluation kits with segment LCD extension headers. For supported kits, see the related tools tab.

The SmartCard Xplained Pro is intended for use along with the SAM L22 Xplained Pro to demonstrate and prototype Smart Card applications, leveraging the ISO7816 module on the SAM L22 chip.
