The Serial SuperFlash® Kit 2 allows evaluation of Microchip's Serial Flash Devices which are made using the SST SuperFlash® technology. The Serial SuperFlash Kit 2 contains three Serial Flash Daughter Boards. The Serial Flash Daughter Board is an evaluation board designed to interface with the mikroBUS™ connector on the Explorer 16/32 Development Board (DM240001-2). It can also interface with the PICtail™ Plus connector located on the Explorer 16 Development Board (DM240001).
The DT-USB5734 is Microchip’s latest Smart hub design that demonstrates the ease and simplicity of designing in USB Type-C™ connectors around Microchip’s newest 4 port, USB3.1 Gen1 Smart Hub - the USB5734. In addition to the USB Type-C interface, the USB5734 Smart Hub has the ability to expand the reach of the USB host by providing a non-USB bridging “port” to Industry Standard I2C, SPI and UART peripherals. Note that our UART interface will actually appear as a USB5734 COM Port! The DT-USB5734 also highlights Microchip’s Port Power Controllers that support up to 45W of DC power and a set of LED indicators letting the user know the orientation of the downstream USB Type-C cable.
The Low Pin Count USB Development Kit provides an easy, low-cost way to evaluate the functionality of Microchip PIC16F1459 (or other PIC16F145x) 14 and 20 pin USB microcontrollers. The board also supports operation with the PIC18F14K50/PIC18F13K50 pin compatible 20 pin USB microcontrollers. When used with the free Microchip Libraries for Applications software (downloadable from www.microchip.com/mla), the platform provides all of the necessary hardware, software, and code examples necessary to quickly bring your next USB design from concept to production.

The EVB-SEC1212-DEV is a development tool for development of custom firmware for the SEC1110 and SEC1210. The development platform supports an external SPI Flash device for enabling custom firmware code to be loaded into the SEC device on bootup. The SPI Flash programming tool is included in the development package.
EVB-UB5807 Evaluation Board
The USB2240 is an Ultra Fast USB 2.0 Multi-Format Flash Media Controller with Secure Digital SD, MultiMediaCard (TM) MMC, Memory Stick MS, and xD-Picture Card (TM) xD connectors. The EVB-USB2240-IND Revision C Evaluation Board demonstrates a standalone application for developers of the following applications: Flash Media Card Reader/Writer, printers, desktop and mobile PCs, consumer A/V, and flat panel displays, among others. The EVB-USB2240-IND is designed to demonstrate the unique features of this device using a low-cost PCB implementation to support internal default configuration settings and an external I2C EEPROM optional for customized configured functionality.
The EVB-USB5734 is a demonstration and evaluation platform that provides the necessary requirements and interface options for evaluating the USB5734 Smart Hub on a 4-layer RoHS-compliant Printed Circuit Board (PCB). This will allow the user to gain an understanding of the product and accelerate the integration of the EVB-USB5734 into the user’s design. The EVB-USB5734 is compliant with the USB 3.1 Gen1 USB Specification and supports Super-Speed (SS), High-Speed (HS), Full-Speed (FS), and Low-Speed (LS) USB signaling for complete coverage of all defined USB operation speeds. The evaluation platform supports four downstream ports that are USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 Gen 1 compliant. The EVB-USB5734 is also designed for flexible configuration solutions. It can be configured via default internal register settings, downloadable external firmware to an on-board SPI Flash, through SMBus, or through the on-board configuration switches. Five IO daughter cards are included in the EVB-USB5734 kit. Each IO daughter card initiates a predetermined User Configuration for the USB5734. All new functionality - FlexConnect, I/O Bridging, downstream speed and charging management, UART interface - can be demonstrated using these daughter cards.

The EVB-LAN7500-LC is an Evaluation Board EVB that utilizes the LAN7500 to provide a fully functional, bus-powered USB to Ethernet interface. The MCP2210 Breakout Module can be used with either the MCP2210 Motherboard or as a standalone USB to SPI (Master) bridge module. The breakout board provides all the needed signals in order to assist the user in building their own boards using the MCP2210. The MCP2210 Utility software allows custom device configuration. In addition, a DLL package is also available in order to allow development of custom software utilizing the MCP2210.

The MCP2210 Evaluation Kit is a development and evaluation platform for the MCP2210 device. The MCP2210 Motherboard is designed to work together with the MCP2210 Breakout Board. The motherboard provides the test points needed for measurements and it also contains the following SPI slave chips:
- MCP23S08 – 8 bit I/O expander
- MCP3204 – 4 channel, 12-bit ADC
- 25LC02 – 2kbit EEPROM
- TC77 – temperature sensor
All the mentioned chips are SPI slaves controlled by the MCP2210. The MCP2210 Eval Board Demo software can be used to demonstrate the MCP2210 as a USB-to-SPI (Master) device and allow I/O control. In addition, the MCP2210 Utility software allows custom device configuration. A DLL package is also available in order to allow development of custom software using the MCP2210.
The MCP2221 Breakout Module is a development and evaluation platform comprised of a single DIP form factor board. The provided supporting software demonstrates the capabilities of the MCP2221 device as a USB-to-UART/I2C/SMBus protocol converter. Additionally, these tools provide simple access for I/O control and the ability to establish custom device configuration. Custom tools can also be created through the use of the provided DLL package.
The PIC32 GUI Development Board with Projected Capacitive Touch enables development of cost effective multi touch graphical user interfaces. It is based on PIC32MX795F512 with 105 DMIPS performance, 512KB Flash and 128KB RAM. The PIC32 is coupled with a low cost PSRAM as a high speed graphics frame buffering and a 4.3” WQVGA touch display enabling development of graphics solutions without an external graphics controller. Additionally the board provides USB host and device connectivity and supports I/O connections via through-hole pads for custom board attachment. The RN4677 PICtail/PICtail Plus is a Bluetooth Dual Mode development board using the Microchip RN4677 Bluetooth Dual Mode module. The RN4677 module is a Dual mode Bluetooth module that complies with Bluetooth Core Specification 4.0. The RN4677 uses a simple ASCII command interface over the UART. The board enables evaluation of the RN4677 and development of Bluetooth low Energy applications in two different ways:

1) Out of the box:  When plugged into the USB port of a PC, the board will enumerate as a Communication Device Class (CDC) Serial device.  Through a terminal program, users can configure and control the module and transfer data using the easy to use provided command set.

2) As a PICtail/PICtail Plus, the board interfaces to one of hundreds of available PIC Microcontrollers through this  standard Microchip interface.  The PICtail bridges the host MCU UART to the RN4677's UART interface for data transfer or configuration using the straight-forward, easy-to-use ASCII style command set.
VOLT (MIKROE-1198)  is a smart USB Li-Polymer battery charger, featuring the MCP73832 power management controller. The provided screw terminals (VSYS and GND) can be used to power your target device from battery or USB. When USB is connected, the battery is charging and VSYS outputs 5V. Power LED is active when either USB or battery is connected, while Charge LED lights up only when battery is charging. Additional screw terminals with STAT and SENSE lines enable battery charge monitoring.

This UCS1002 and PIC16F1503 Reference Design is a fully functional universal serial bus (USB) charger compatible with a large variety of portable devices. The UCS1002 programmable port-power controller can deliver up to 2.5A charging current. Features like current monitoring and programmable charger emulation profiles make it a good candidate to be used with a PIC® Microcontroller for intelligent USB charging solutions. The algorithm implemented in the PIC microcontroller applies multiple charger emulation profiles and selects the one that provides the highest current to the attached device. For more information regarding the code, refer to AN1827 – "UCS1002 Highest Current Algorithm Using a PIC® Microcontroller” (DS20001827A). The board can be powered from 5V directly or through the MCP16323 Synchronous Buck Regulator which allows 6-18V input.
The UCS1003-1 Evaluation Board provides the ability to evaluate the features of the UCS1003-1 USB Port Power Controller with Charger Emulation. The board allows the UCS1003-1 to be tested in different configurations by populating jumpers on specific header locations. The Evaluation Board contains the MCP2221 USB to I2C bridge, which allows communication via USB between the UCS1003-1 and the Graphical User Interface (GUI) running on the PC. The GUI gives read/write access to all UCS1003-1 registers and has advanced evaluation features like:

The UCS1003-2 Evaluation Board is intended for evaluation of stand-alone USB charging. The UCS1003-2 supports popular emulation profiles for Apple, Samsung, and BC1.2 compliant devices. Jumper configurations allow selection of operation for Dedicated Charging Emulation, Charging Downstream Port, Standard Downstream Port, and USB Pass Through.

The EVB-UFX6000-TC is a USB 2.0 ViewSpan graphics solution that utilizes 480 Mbps Hi-Speed USB technology as a display interface. Capable of interfacing with VGA, DVI and HDMI-enabled displays without glue logic. ViewSpan is capable of supporting full 1080p HD resolution over a USB Hi-Speed link.
The EVB-UFX7000 is a USB 3.0 ViewSpan5G graphics solution that utilizes 5 Gbps SuperSpeed USB technology as a display interface. Capable of interfacing with VGA, DVI and HDMI-enabled displays without glue logic. ViewSpan5G is fully backward-compatible with USB 2.0 and is capable of supporting full 1080p HD resolution over either a USB SuperSpeed or Hi-Speed link.
The USB3750 family of Hi-Speed USB switches were specifically designed to enable a range of applications to achieve a single-port connectivity. The SMSC USB2517 MultiTRAK™ is a Low-Power Full-Featured High-Speed USB 2.0 compliant hub with seven down-stream ports. The EVB-USB2517 Evaluation Board demonstrates a standalone application for the hub with advanced power saving options and configurable port assignments. It is a demonstration and low-cost evaluation platform that robustly demonstrates the unique features of this device using a low-cost PCB implementation with individual port power control. The EVB-USB2517 is designed for a low cost, power efficient implementation of a High-Speed USB Hub that supports internal default hub configurations as well as optionally supports an external EERPOM configuration. This evaluation platform supports a red LED indicator for the High-Speed hub state as well as standard USB Amber/Green LED indicators for operational state indication.
