This demo features the SAML22—an ultra low power, 32-bit ARM Cortex-M0+ microcontroller , the BTLC1000 Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) 4.1 Module, the ECC508A CryptoAuthentication chip and the NeuroSky BMD101 CardioChip AFE.

Powered by a single AAA battery, this board uses the ECG method of measuring heart rate which can give a better picture of overall cardiac health than other methods. The basic measurements available are; heart rate, heart rate variability, heart age and stress level. Patient movement is tracked via an on-board accelerometer. This board can also be used as a development platform for devices utilizing more advanced ECG measurements. The on-board BTLC1000 BLE module allows the demo to communicate with tablets, smartphones or PCs, thus enabling IoT capability.

The dsPICDEM™ MCLV-2 Development Board provides a cost-effective method of evaluating and developing sensored or sensorless Brushless DC (BLDC) and permanent magnet synchronous motor control applications. The board supports Microchip’s 100-pin Plug-In-Modules with dsPIC33E, dsPIC33F and PIC32MK Digital Signal Controllers. The board supports the use of the internal, on chip OpAmps found on certain dsPIC® devices or the external OpAmps found on the MCLV-2 board. From Sensor to Cloud. The DM990101 IoT Ethernet Monitoring kit powered by Medium One (Software-as-a-Service) offers an all-in-one IoT package. To address Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) projects, the Ethernet technology becomes the most reliable and stable connectivity. This IoT kit uses an Ethernet LAN8740A and comes pre-loaded with Medium One cloud service, mobile application (from Saritasa) as well as corresponding Microchip firmware. The firmware in the kit makes use of MPLAB®Harmony, FreeRTOS™, and WolfMQTT allowing you to quick-start your IoT design. The Ethernet port is controlled by a 32-bit micro-controller that benefits from a 2MB Flash of the PIC32MZ EF providing plenty of memory space for your application code.
The security is addressed using WolfSSL features. The kit communicates with the Medium One cloud over MQTT with TLS security, using both publish and subscribe topics. The mobile app communicates with the Medium One cloud via REST over HTTPS.

To get started quickly, the PIC32MM Curiosity Development Board is pre-programmed with a RGB color mixing application. In the demo, the potentiometer can be used to adjust each color channel intensity, independently, while the push buttons are used to select the channel to be adjusted. For customers who want to develop USB audio applications with the PIC32MM GPM family, the USB audio headset demo is a perfect starting point that leverages the X32 headers populated on the PIC32MM USB Curiosity Development Board.

The PIC32MM0256GPM064 Plug-in Module(PIM) is designed to plug into the Explorer 16/32 Development Boards and is designed to enable users to explore the innovative features and capabilities of the eXtreme low-power PIC32MM “GPM” family. The PIM includes the PIC32MM0256GPM064 64-pin TQFP device, which has the most memory and highest pin-count of all devices in this family.

The entire family of PIC32MM devices is supported by Microchip’s development ecosystem including the MPLAB® X IDE and the MPLAB XC32 Compiler.
The PIC32MX1/2/5 Starter Kit provides the user with an easy and cost effective option to experience the USB and CAN functionality of the new PIC32MX1/2/5 family of microcontrollers. The board features a 50MHz/83DMIPS PIC32MX570F512L MCU with 512 KB Flash, 64KB RAM, USB Device/Host/OTG, CAN 2.0B, 48 Channel ADC, Analog Comparators, SPI Ports and UARTs. The starter kit has an onboard high-speed CAN transceiver which serves as an interface between a CAN protocol controller and the physical two wire bus.
