The 14-Lead SOIC/TSSOP/DIP Evaluation Board allows the system designer to quickly evaluate the operation of Microchip Technology’s devices in either SOIC, DIP, or TSSOP packages.
The 20-Pin TSSOP and SSOP Evaluation Board allows the system designer to quickly evaluate the operation of Microchip Technology’s devices in any of the following 20-pin packages: TSSOP-20/16/14/8 and SSOP-20.

The board has a 6-pin header (PICkit Serial, ICSP, etc.) that can be easily jumpered to the device’s desired pins to communicate with the device (using PICkit Serial) or in the case of PIC microcontrollers or EEPROM, programmed (using ICSP).

The board also has footprints for a crystal circuit (for PIC microcontrollers) This board is generic so that any device, of the appropriate footprint, may be installed.

As well as the device, other desired passive components (resistors and capacitors) and connection posts may be installed. This allows the board to evaluate a minimum configuration for the device. Also, this allows the device to be easily jumpered into an existing system.
The GPIO Expander Keypad and LCD Demo Board is designed to demonstrate the use of the MCP23S08/17 (SPI interface) and the MCP23008/17 (I2C interface) devices in a keypad and LCD example. The MCP23X17 (16-bit) devices interface to a 2x16 LCD module and the MCP23X08 (8-bit) devices interface to a 4x4 keyed matrix.

The MCP2120/22 Developer’s Board allows for the easy demonstration and development of IrDA applications. The board can be powered via USB or the power test points (VDD and GND). When using the power test points, if JP2 is shorted, the voltage must not exceed the PIC18F65J50 voltage specification.

The preprogrammed PIC18F65J50 firmware generates the MCP2122’s clock. The Host interface can be connected to the UART driver device (for IrDA to UART operation), for communication over the DB-9 connector or connected to the PIC18F65J50 for stand alone operation.

The MCP2150 Developer’s Board allows for the easy demonstration and development of IrDA applications. The board can be powered via USB or the power test points (VDD and GND).

The Host interface can be connected to the UART driver device for communication over the DB-9 connector (for IrDA to UART operation), connected to the PIC18F65J50 for stand alone operation, or connected to the PIC18F65J50 with the PIC18F65J50 connected to the UART driver device (for pass-through operation).

The MCP2200 USB to UART with Isolation Demo Board is a USB to UART development and evaluation board for the MCP2200 device. This board is powered from the host’s USB port. Two of the MCP2200 GPIO pins (GP6 and GP7) are connected to LEDs used to indicate the USB to UART traffic when the associated pins are configured as TxLED and RxLED pins, respectively. The isolated side is powered
externally with 3V to 5.5V. The board offers 3.75 kV AC of electrical isolation for power and UART signals.

Microchip Technology Inc. provides a software package to be used with this board that can be downloaded from Microchip’s web site. This PC software is used to evaluate/demonstrate the MCP2200 as a Virtual Com Port (VCP) device. This software also allows custom device configurations.

A DLL is included to allow the development of the custom configurations and software applications to control the GPIOs, that can be downloaded from the product/board web page.
The MCP2200EV-VCP is a USB-to-RS232 development and evaluation board for the MCP2200 USB-to-UART device. The board allows for easy demonstration and evaluation of the MCP2200. The accompanying software allows the special device features to be configured and controlled. The board is powered from USB and has a test point associated with each GPIO pin. In addition, two of these pins are connected to LEDs which can be used to indicate USB-to-UART traffic when the associated pins are configured as TxLED and RxLED pins respectively.
The MCP37X1X-200, 12-bit 200 Msps ADC VTLA Evaluation Board (ADM00619) provides the opportunity to evaluate the performance of the MCP37X1X-200 Device Family. With the MCP37D11-200, 12-bit 200 Msps pipelined A/D converter on-board, the user can evaluate the functionality of the 12-bit 200 Msps A/D converters and the digital signal processing features. With the help of a compatible data capture card, the evaluation board can provide the user with performance analysis features through the PC GUI.

The MCP37XXX High-Speed Pipeline ADC Data Capture Card (ADM00506) is an FPGA-based memory buffer for the digital data received from the Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) on board the MCP37XXX Evaluation Boards. The data capture card connects to a PC via a USB cable, providing the user with two functionalities:
• The ability to send user commands directly to the ADC device using the PC GUI.
